Also characteristic is the look of the famous Coconuts\, typically vintage and inspired by the 40s and 50s. \nFRANKIE & CANTHINA BAND\nHistorical Roman band born in 1991 from the meeting of musicians from different musical experiences. He immediately proposed\, a pioneer in Italy\, a soul/funky/dance repertoire typical of the 70s/80s. Enthralling and engaging\, they have conquered the audience of the best international venues with their brilliant performances always and exclusively live. \nFrom August 27th to October 30th the great live music in the suburbs of Cagliari with a program full of events promoted by the Municipality of Cagliari.

DESCRIPTION:Venoge Festival\, Switzerland\n\n \n\n\nAt this year’s Venoge Festival\, the 26th annual event\, which runs from August 17th – 21st\, you will see the likes of Iggy Pop\, Limp Bizkit\, Eagle Eye Cherry\, Alphaville\, Bob Sinclair plus many more awesome acts! \nIn the 90s\, there was in Penthalaz a branch of the Association of Parents of Students (APE). This association was very active. It is from it that were born\, among others\, school patrollers\, supervised studies and the youth room. These three activities\, although they have evolved over time\, still live. At the time\, several teenagers from Penthalaz had contacted the APE to request the opening of a youth premises. At the same time\, in Cossonay\, an Open Air stopped. This is where the idea of doing a mini-festival was born; the Rock’n’Air whose profits would be used to finance the first costs of the premises. This first festival had a very favorable echo in the village\, it was sunny\, it was hot and the success was immediate.\nWe will remember that the stage was a semi-trailer and that the groups were mainly from the region! With this success\, this enthusiasm\, these ideas that sprang up on both sides\, this friendship that bound us\, we thought it would be a shame to stop in such a good way. And this was the birth of the association La Cool’Hisse.\nAt the end of 2015\, the Venoge Festival became independent. The Cool’Hisse separates from her “baby” to focus on other less energy-intensive activities. The Venoge People Association is created with some old and new members.\nTwenty-five years later\, the Venoge Festival is stronger than ever. And the anniversary celebrated in 2019\, as well as previous editions prove its good health and the powerful link woven with the inhabitants and companies of the entire Gros-de-Vaud and Lausanne region.\nTwenty-five years are people who leave\, others who arrive\, new ideas\, different personalities and this alchemy makes its evolution surprising and exciting.\nThe magic still works at the Venoge Festival! \nFor TICKETS click here

DESCRIPTION:LIVE at Colosseo\nRome\, Italy\n \n   \n           &  \n\nKID CREOLE AND THE COCONUTS is celebrating 42 years of musical madness this year.\nKID CREOLE AND THE COCONUTS was born out of the red-hot embers of DR BUZZARD’S ORIGINAL SAVANNAH BAND. In the 1970’s the Savannah\nBand had successfully merged the big band sound of the 1940’s (Duke Ellington\, Cab Calloway\, Artie Shaw\, Count Basie\, Louis Prima) with the dance floor beat of the disco era. August Darnell (aka The Kid) jumped ship in 1981 and decided to form his own band. He fused the big band sound with every strain under the sun – calypso\, soca\, salsa\, rhythm and blues\, soul\, jazz\, funk\, hip-hop\, country and western\, etc.\, etc.\, etc. Kid Creole and the Coconuts thus became pioneers of what became known as mongrel music. In other words – a delicious but strange potpourri of Urban Tropicalism!\nEnjoying huge success around the world for over 40 years\, the band has so far released 15 albums\, 7 compilations and 30 singles. To celebrate the band’s 40th Anniversary\, KC&C re-released a special edition of their first studio album ‘Off the Coast of Me’ in 2020. At the end of 2021\, KC&C released their latest album entitled ‘Nothin’ Left but the Rest’. Some critics have already noted that this one is “arguably their best album yet!”\nThese days the Kid has his own record label called 2C2C Music. This is the home for all the band’s new releases.
